Hot and Sweet Coleslaw

 

1/2 cup White vinegar
1/2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Water
  Walkerswood Jonkanoo Hot Sauce to taste
5-6 cups Cabbage (shredded or finely chopped)
1 large Carrot
  Sliced Green pepper ; Onion (optional)

Method:

  • In a small pot combine 1/2 cup each of white vinegar and sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Heat and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  • As dressing is cooling add Jonkanoo Hot Sauce to taste.
  • Shred or finely slice 5-6 cups of cabbage and 1 large carrot. (Optional: Add fine sliced green pepper and onions).
  • Pour dressing and combine well.
  • Can sit in the fridge for 3-4 days (but is best if eaten within 2 days)
